We returned to the real world from the 4-night, 5-day Nippon Maru cruise.
This was a luxurious trip with 380 passengers and 230 staff.
Dinner was a full course of Japanese and Western food. Even though we were on a ship, we had access to the large public bath every day, and in the evening we had a "concert" and "rakugo," won prizes at the bingo game, and played blackjack at the casino. Because we didn't have time, we bet all our money on it, which we "won" and got prizes. (Because it's Japan, it's a casino game, so you can't bet real money.) I've been to casino venues in Singapore and Macau and watched the games, but it's more fun to participate even if it's just a game.
Although Nippon Maru is a Japanese cruise ship, most of the staff are Filipinos, and it seemed like Japanese staff were in charge of key points. However, the staff were friendly and polite, trying their best to speak broken Japanese, and I could feel the high quality of Nippon Maru's employee training.
Even though I attended every single concert and rakugo performance, photography was prohibited, so I ended up only taking photos of food.
